Rothbard - About

At a time when the most eloquent and powerful voices in the world are maligning individual autonomy and clamoring for more consolidation and centralization of power, when more and more of our decisions are forcibly made for us in far away government buildings ostensibly for our own good. At such a time as this, liberty needs an advocate.

This glaring need is what inspired the creation of Rothbard during the global financial crisis in the fall of 2008. In 2009 the band, which was still known as the Glorious Dregs at the time, started writing material in earnest and performed at a couple of political rallies. After adopting the Rothbard moniker in 2010 in honor of legendary anarcho-capitalist Murray Rothbard, the band continued targeted performances and started work in the studio on their debut album. In 2011, the band released Helicopter Ben and Ron Paul on YouTube to strong reviews from local fans and is now finishing up work on their debut album.
